Moon nakshatras are highly attuned to the illusions and deceptions of the world, and are aware that everything is not what it seems. They recognize how easy it is to pretend to be someone or something and get away with it. The moon is the brightest light in the night sky (full moon), but it can also be invisible (new moon). This is the nature of moon nakshatras; they navigate through the shadows and darkness, casting illusions and disappearing into their environment, or shining a light on the hidden illusory world. They are great mimics and have a talent for impressions. They prefer to be in company, with a friend, or partner as the moon is the consort to the sun. Moon nakshatras shine when they have someone to respond to and bounce off of. They enhance and reflect the light (personality) of others, making them the most socially intelligent.
The moon is the 2nd brightest luminary in the sky, and the consort to the sun. Lunar natives usually are content with who and what they have, being the least desirous. They are devotional and prefer to be surrounded by comfort. Most likely to be religious and uphold traditions from childhood. They may seem emotional due to the way they speak. They have a high receptivity and feel easily influenced, like the moon reflects and changes by the sun’s light, therefore they seek stability and constancy. Due to their awareness of their own fickleness, they may be quick to reject new ideas, seeming incredibly stubborn, as a way of protecting themselves. They begin taking on traits of those they are around. They become like another version of the person they admire most. They naturally evoke a protective response from others, who can sense their vulnerability. They can seem naive, as they are more spiritually minded. They prefer to nourish and support the ideas of others, than come up with their own ideas.
Moon women adjust to/ reflect the desires/traits of their man. They’re good role models for women, as they never behave in a vulgar way. They play up their ditziness, seeing the disarming response it evokes. If criticized, many run to their defense. They worship the masculine, and as such, are devotional to God. Lunar women can take on the image of their partner’s dream girl, and actresses with lunar nakshatras are often cast as the ‘manic pixie dream girl’
Lunar beings have a keen awareness of subtleties. They can pick up on details others can’t through their powers of observation and their receptivity to invisible influences. Psychology is a Lunar science, as it explores the dark and mysterious ocean of the human mind and the vast subconscious. Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, is a Rohini moon native Lunar nakshatras are able to put their own identity aside and adapt their consciousness to the person they are with or the group they are a part of. This makes them highly empathic, but they can also seem insincere or ‘two-faced’. They are highly impressionable and ever-changing, which is why they depend on their stubborn, devotional mind to remain aloof to people who try to convince them of something. They do best to follow their intuition (rather than logic) which can’t be influenced by the external. On the surface they may agree in order to keep up appearances or keep the peace, but they will likely do what they feel to do behind people’s back. This makes their behaviour unpredictable or misunderstood. They appear to act on a whim or change sides when it suits them This is why it’s crucial for those influenced by the moon to devote themselves to an ideology. They can reach enlightenment through committing themselves to a Higher Power which acts as their North Star. This keeps them on the path of virtue and prevents and protects them from being misled or tempted into immorality
Moon men are typically those who fall under the ‘female gaze’. They can play with their femininity and easily put their ego aside, letting others lead. They don’t mind playing the supporting role for those they admire. They are vocal about their beliefs. Men who are predominantly moon-ruled are the most religious when it comes to seeking truth. They can even be religious about atheism, such as only believing in Science, or by taking scriptures literally and disproving their basis in reality.
Whether it’s through spirituality (Sadhguru), science (Neil Degrasse Tyson), commentary (Russel Brand), or investigating, many of these men passionately seek to reveal or disclose what is beneath the surface and how the world really works. They are interested in the true nature of reality, and through their curiosity they are able to get closer to the ultimate Truth. Actors with lunar nakshatras are often cast as cops or criminals, and their characters usually have a secret or false identity submerged in mystery
